Effects of Piracetam in Sports

Piracetam is a successful drug on the neurological disorders it is used for. Nowadays more piracetam products have popped up in the sport supplement market but what are the effects on sports?

Piracetam increases concentration by increasing the blood flow and oxygen to the brain. However, all effects of piracetan are neurological and there has been no scientific proof it will any effect for muscles, recovery times or anything similar.

Some sources state using piracetam can help if you are doing very intense and explosive training but even that seems to be purely a personal belief with no scientific evidence.

Only beneficial use for piracetam in sports could lie on its ability to enhance concentration. This could be advantageous in sports where you have to have the maximum focus on the task at hand. This kind of razor sharp concentration is needed only in the top professional level, and even then, using a drug is ethically doubtful, if not forbidden by the rules.

At the moment - unless you want to boost up your brain before going to gym or running - the best tip would be to forget the use of piracetam as a plain sport supplement, and use the money for better old-fashioned supplements that have proven to be effective.
